I've been working on the previous Sunday Scribblings prompt off and on since last weekend, and finally finished. This story is a little more ambitious than the other stuff I've posted, as well as longer, and a bit darker. So it took me more time to finish, and it gets a page of its own. I like it. Good construction, and inevitable twist that, while predictable, still leaves me wondering . . . and just enough mystery.
